Festive drinks are brewed from teas, syrups, herbal infusions
and decoctions to make beverages for holiday fun.
Mocktails are created with ingredients you usually use
plus new ones you’ve yet to try.
To experience the flavors of spice, I’ve made recipes inspired by
cookbook authors in the know. Join me and raise a glass, or two!

A Cherry Shrub
Make this delicious old fashioned “soda” from fruit and spices plus sugar and vinegar. Like “fire cider” but not as strong, this is a health drink that tastes best added to cold-brewed tea, sparkling water, or unsweetened juices.
Sweet and Savory Coffee
Really rich alternative to regular coffee for special dates, festive occasions, a spicy treat.
Chocolate Chai
Oh wow, a new Chai! Make one for me! Featuring cold-brewed tea, or hot-brewed tea, my personal favorite is green tea for this chai.
Vegan ‘Nog with Brown Rice
A creamy, rich drink made from the essence of rice grains and infused with two of the best-loved spices. Vegan ‘Nog is delicious at breakfast or for a late night snack, too.
Spiced Roselle
Do you know Roselle? Of course—it’s Hibiscus, right? Here’s a delicious way to prepare it with spices and fruit.
